Good point, wittily made. How much is the recruitment team being paid and does it represent value for money? Didn't I read when the team was put in place that it would put an end to all the usual last minute fighting for scraps from the big clubs' table? Well that worked out well.

Maybe, just maybe they are actually having to work harder than other recruitment teams due to our financial position and the competition we face. I work in a totally unrelated field where we have recruiters working non-stop to try and fill vacancies but being a 'frugal' government agency we are up against the big boys of Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Boeing, Google etc. in the tech. field. It's not unusual to have 6 figure positions open for 12+ months and still go unfilled.
