Our new owner also has money and is doing exactly that

Only a few goals less than County, Ayr and QOS who all have a high scoring striker. Imagine if we did!

Our defending has been an Achilles heel for years. It's no coincidence that Robbie's run of great results happened at a time we conceded hardly any goals.

Yup, definitely our defensive record that's making the difference, you only need to look at the goal difference between us and the teams around us to see that. The other thing is that those teams around us will struggle if their main goal scorer gets injured or transferred.

This is the weakest competition we have had to compete with since we’ve been down in my opinion
Best chance to get out this league that we might not get again for a while

Shankland was not brought on until late on.

Friday will be crucial as to whether their bubble has actually burst

Fingers crossed United can produce something special to avenge the 0-5 at home

The Shankland who came on as a sub was a Talbot player!
Lewis Shankland still not even on the bench for Ayr. Hopefully not fit for Friday. Ran us ragged a few weeks ago..

Shankland has been out for a few games now and wasn't even in Ayr's squad yesterday. Forrest has been out also and they've had a few others out too. Their lack of squad depth is becoming apparent. After the last couple of years, particularly last season where Lewis Morgan barely missed a minute, both our main league rivals are starting to build up significant injuries while, fingers crossed, we're not suffering the calamity that was losing Fraser and Fyvie for the season. Even if he starts on Friday, Shankland will not have played for several weeks and on the basis of what I watched yesterday, Ayr United are light years away from what they produced at Tannadice just a few weeks ago.
