    Chi Onwurah

Has anyone had any personal dealings or insight into her? She gas secured a parliamentary debate...are they humouring her or will this actually bring about any legislative changes. Maybe some kind of formal or effective vetting for potental club owners? I generally switch off wih this kind of shiit but think this could be important.

Problem is, I suspect that any changes which may be brought about couldn't be applied retrospectively.

Too late for us but any pressure on big Mike is good and I'd like to see how far she can run with it. Seems persistant and consistant - important traits. Maybe the Magpie Group should bring her in as honourery Chairwoman.

Aye, she is, and she's articulate too so she can put our case across effectively. And I agree, any pressure at all that can be brought to bear on fatso is a good thing.

She's also not well know enough politically to be toxic to other parties and a cross-party consensus is better than a single party issue.

She spoke at I think it was the second meeting at the Labour Club with a Gateshead MP. There has been talk about getting her back for another one.

Think the debate is in parliament today around 5.30 for anyone that might want to watch it.
