I really don't understand what bit of this they don't get. Glasgow Rangers spent money they didn't have, latterly due to collusion between 'Sir' David Murray and his mate at HBOS. They extended their fateful end by indulging in highly dubious tax dodging measures. Eventually it all came home to roost inevitably resulting in a fiscally unsustainable position which led to first administration and then liquidation. As a consequence they ceased to exist and could not guarantee to the SFA the ability to fulfill fixtures. Their place was taken by the Funsters. A conglomerate of shysters came to being who bought all the assets of the Club formerly known as Rangers and formed a new entity, formally known as The Rangers International Football Company. As a new set up, this organisation therefore had to re apply to join the league at the bottom (dodging every rule at the same time additionally). They were never, ever 'relegated'.

Actually come to think of it, I do get why they can't grasp this. They're thick.
