Surely a striker would make sense

Roofe has been great so far, not only in goals scored, but for staying pretty much injury free,& doesn't pick up too many cards etc, if the worst should happen, and he misses say 6-7 games, that's a massive chunk of firepower gone -
Roberts still really getting up to speed / hardly prolific in goal stakes , Bamford sadly who knows when & where, Harrisons been tried as CF, but again mediocre, that leaves only Edmondson, possibly Clarke.
This is the clubs last chance to bring in suitable back-up - the chasing clubs, Norwich / WBA / Boro / Derby, all seem to have better striker options, which just might make the difference come May

Think we shot our wad on Kiko.

Think Clarke is the back up if Roofe goes down.

Pretty scary but has shown that Roofe's the real deal. He's not played any different all season even though he's the only striker we have. Some of our players in the past would have let off the gas quite a bit.

A fit Saiz in body and mind this season and we would be a flying away with this league in my opinion. (sigh)

We could do with another striker tho..not sure if we have the funds to get one..midnight tomorrow night will tell us what we need to know.

Gut feeling is we will be as we are now.

100% yes re Saiz, and 100% yes re your gut feeling. We'll know how much we might come to regret it in May...........

And that is my big concern taff to be honest..we don't have the biggest squad either..maybe there are a few more gems in the Academy we can unearth.

I've got faith that MB knows what he's doing....

Despite having 128 match day absences so far this season through injury!

thats huge mate, i knew our injury situation has been bad but i take it that is all the players injured on a matchday for all matches this season so far?

stupid thing is, if our squad didnt get injured, it would be good enough imo

    Re: Saiz

Some whispers about not being willing to work to hit Bielsa’s body fat target or demanding training regime. Much happier jogging through his season on his own terms. With all the other players fully bought into the Bielsa cult, friction happening. Reached bursting point so club got rid asap. Personal life stuff just a cover to enable it to happen with minimal fuss. Hence zero sympathy or complaints or even “good luck samu” expressed by other players when he left. They were glad to see him gone.

Club will lose £££ as a result but judged it better to take the hit than put the integrity of the team at risk. Shows the extent they are willing to stand by and support Bielsa even at the cost of writing off most of the value of a (supposedly) major member of the squad

Bogusz looks like a possible replacement for Saiz.
