    Ross County - 24h on

What a disappointing start to the year. We failed to compete and paid the price. With only a few days until the next game Stephen Robinson is under intense pressure. Can he find a solution that will allow us to compete with Hibs on Wednesday? - External Link

Big changes need to be made for Wednesday's game, the first being to revert to a 3-5-2 formation.

Three at the back has not worked all season let’s get back to 4-4-2
    Tait Aldred Hartley Dunne
Grimshaw. Campbell. Turnbull. Frear or Ariyibi or McHugh
    Main. Johnson

There's pros and cons with three v four at the back, I'd be tempted for the latter but at the minute I'd argue what's more important is ditching two up front...we stumbled across that when we discovered a very good striker in Moult went absolutely through the roof when he had a personal water carrier (Bowman) beside him. But that's long gone. If our forwards are hopeless we're better off only wasting a jersey on one of them and using the other body elsewhere...there's a reason virtually nobody plays with two genuine strikers any more as we persist on doing.

The problem with a back four is that we don't have an out and out left back unless Livingstone is promoted. Dunne is not a left back as he demontrated yesterday but I'd happily play him in the middle in place of Hartley. We've never done well with a single striker and we don't have a genuine target man nor a midfielder that is quick enough to support him unless Hastie can play there.

We have won plenty of games using 4-3-3/4-5-1 in the past, there is no inherent reason we need two up there and at the minute we can't afford the body fewer in the middle.
