Newer update - Vassell came on as sub at Millwall and looked a bit off the pace, Newell was an unused sub. Both played in the reserves game last Tuesday, and although both scored, according to Warney, Vassell is still not right. The groin injury continues to cause Vassell problems, and he may need still surgery. May account for our sudden renewed interest in overseas "free agent" forwards. Transfer deadline farce now looking even worse

I'm glad that we're still looking to sign somebody - and even Derbyshire would be better than nobody (probably not a free agent though). Newell seemed to get through that reserves game ok, so that's some good news!
