    Richard Wood

Interested in how many points we got this season when he was in the starting line up

For all the criticism he gets from fans, I think we always look more solid defensively when he plays for the simple reason that he organises the back four. If you watch him, he never stops talking and checking that everyone is in position, I don't think any of the others do that.

Much more potent at dead ball situations as well.
All the defences will know about his fearless attitude and brick themselves...hence the song

Why is it players are usually better when they aren't playing.

Against Preston he was easily beaten for the goal and was subbed at half time.

I'd rather we bought some midfielders who could contribute more than the current lot ☹

Entirely agree, preferably with a lot more pace and power than what we've got, however I do think Wiles will be an outstanding player for us.

Your point is a good one but I’m sure most still believe that Raggett/Robertson/Ajayi are better and that Wood is too slow

I agree that most people will believe but I don't think he's done a lot wrong when he's played this season, he's cost us a lot fewer goals than both the full backs, put it that way. I think Ajayi looks a much better player when he plays with Wood than he does with anyone else. His best performances this season have been alongside Wood.
