    `Wednesday CUFC memorabilia

Inspired by Griff's Arsenal thread and thinking we will have weekly Monday jokes and Friday bewers, why not a Wednesday Carlisle memorabilia thread.

Of course there is only one place to start

The inimatable Derek ("you can do a lot of damage with 6 inches") and Jeff Stelling - Carlisle v Plymouth 1999

(Health warning for Chalky - don't watch the last seconds of Jeff S that shows the grief of the Scarborough fans.

I love that story about Jimmy Glass,it's a great ending to his career, twiddling his thumbs as the season gets ever closer to finishing and then he gets a call from Carlisle in the last few weeks to come in as a replacement for your injured goalie, not only does he get the last goal scored in that season (which must be sweeter than sweet for a goalie) but it kept Carlisle up in the last seconds and to top it off it ended up as his last professional game,I only hope that one day I meet the great man in my.travels so that I can buy I'm a pint and tell me the story again

The Scarborough fans? I honestly feel their grief as we get ever closer to dropping into the National League

We lost, but feel free to wallow in the nostalgia. I love every second of this - especially the opening credits

We could call this ‘down memory lane’. Friday brewers could be ‘down mammary lane’.
