Best of luck to him and any others we send out on loan, some good talent in our Academy teams,
Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Romal Palmer has joined Darlington FC on loan until the end of the season.
The young midfielder, who scored the only goal as our U23s beat Burnley a couple of weeks ago, was on a youth loan at Blackwell Meadows but will now be with Tommy Wright’s side until Saturday 4 May.
Palmer made his Darlington debut in a 3-3 draw against play-off chasing Altrincham Town on 22 December and has since gone onto play five times for the Vanarama National League North side.
He joins U23s teammate Will Smith at the Quakers after the Reds’ defender also signed until the end of the campaign last week.
Both players have received praise for their performances on social media.
You can keep up with their progress in our loan watch feature.
