I'm going to be parking at Lewes and get train in from there. Car parks much cheaper than Brighton equivalents.
Some tips on how to see the best of Brighton.
The Amex is on the north east side of town and if you're going by coach it will be straight to the ground and you won't get to see anything of Brighton or the sea. There is nothing close by the way of places to eat or drink. You can get a decent pint in the ground of the local Harvey's Albion Ale at £4+ which is about par for Brighton prices.
If you're arriving by car most convenient is to leave it at the Mill Road Park and Ride which at the large roundabout at the bottom of the A23 but again you'll see nowt of Brighton. Carry on a few miles and you will arrive in the town centre.where you can get the train to the Amex free with a match ticket. Car park for 6 hours and be prepared to pay £20+ (it's just one of the prices you pay for having the only Green MP.)
Arrive by train and the pubs around the station will be home fans only. The obvious thing to do is head straight down Queens Road to the sea but it's a boring walk and you could be anywhere. My No.1 tip is come out of the station and turn left into Trafalgar Street and then right into Sydney Street. this is the start of the North Laines.

There are loads of pubs, bars and cafes non of which you will find on the High Street. It's very trendy and full of locals. Very easy to follow just keep heading away from the station.
When you get to busy North Street cross over and enter The Lanes. This is a jumble of streets and very much more touristy, lots of designer shops and jewellers. If you got the wife with you keep hold of the credit card. You are never more than about 5 mins walk away from the sea.
The Royal Pavillion is worth a look see as is a stroll along Brighton Pier.
Have a nice day and COYB
And if you spot some taller than average ladies in flowery dresses, large hats, prominent adam apples and a bit of stubble try not to act too surprised. This is Brighton.

After the match we will stop behind for an hour and have a beer or 2 in the ground (they even show train times back into town) and the wife bless her is picking us up when we are ready
Anyone know what colours we are playing in today. Need to know which scarf to grab!
