    A Fine Win

We produced an improved performance tonight to take all 3 points courtesy of a David Turnbull goal. With Dundee winning, and Accies and St Mirren losing it wasn't too bad a night all round.

    Definitely.

And while there is obviously still much work to be done - and we rode our luck at times - it was pleasing to see a new shape and philosophy.

However, we've been here before - the 4-4-2 diamond and a hint of football against St Mirren and Dundee last autumn didn't last long so we need to wait and see a bit.

Huge game coming up on Saturday and another couple after it. A decent run here puts survival beyond doubt, a struggle puts us under pressure again going into a hard stretch. We've been here before and we know how it's turned out...

After last night we have Dundee away then Livvy at home and St Mirren away. All 3 winnable. They'll be tough games but not beyond us to take something from. Last night did give us some hope not just because of the result but because of the way we played. Dundee are still signing players like a supermarket shopping spree but then again they were always going to do that.

It's so refreshing seeing youngsters combine to set up and score a fine goal such as that to win the game.

A very good win against a lacklustre Hibs side but we've been here before as we all know. Saturday is massive for us.

If we can take 6 points from the next three fixtures then survival would be almost guaranteed. they will be difficult games, especially the Dundee and St Mirren games as they will be a bit of a scrap. If we can stay away from the long ball game, get the ball on the deck play a bit of football we should be ok.

You would hope their need to win suits us a bit as we don't need to take the game to them...a fine line between not just sitting in and waiting to concede of course but there's certainly no need to chuck it away like we did v St Mirren at Christmas. Tbh I'd happily take two points from the away games right now to maintain the gap and risk it a bit more v Livi - if it goes wrong against them the consequences aren't nearly so big.

Lets hope barring no injuries from Wednesday night Robinson sticks with the same starting eleven against Dundee for the first time this season.
