We're desperate for a win and a lift right now. All the swagger and confidence steems to have disappeared. Keeping a clean sheet is the priority. We're always going to score goals but the problem we have is keeping them out let's hope our keeper and defenders can gel ASAP.
    When's the match?

Its a Win Bongo, that will do the team some good. Defence better but still ?s on Adomah and Hurihane!
A win next week and maybe a new signing and we could go on a charge??

Would be nice Dave. Our defence looks so poor. Why JT is coaching when he could still get into our 1st 11 is beyond me. JT and Chester for a 2nd season in a row would have given us continuity and a leader. Loosing JT and Johnstone in one summer and failure to replace them with anyone adequate cost SB his job in my opinion.
The chairmen wouldn't sanction the loan move again but instead we pay him anyway just to shout from the touch line.
I do understand the new philosophy with young British talent coming in. however if a good old un that makes sense should still be considered.
Sometimes I think I know more than them at times.

Oddly enough were only 4 points off the play offs and 12 off 2nd. It's not impossible, never say die.

A win is a win, but crikey we look poor.

No midfield to protect a shocking defence, or to load the bullets up top.

Hourihane finally gets a delivery right, woo hoo!!!, before returning to his ineffective and clumsy default setting.

McGinn is carrying CH and Whelan for 90+ mins every week. Cue total burnout and a collection of cards that would make Hallmark blush. He’s been just one away from a 2 game ban since the turn of the year.

Still as y’all say we are 4pts off Play Offs, with 7 of the 9 teams above us having to come to VP.

It's all to easy for teams to exploit us for all the reasons Exiled states, with Jack & Axel we are a different side. Can't see us winning enough games to get amongst the top 6 and stay there due to our leaky defence & an over-reliance on Tammy.

Whelan was reported to have had a good game yesterday

Well, we could have had a coupke more goals and then people would have said what a great game!
We won thats the main thing. Jack will be back soon, boy have we missed him.
Theres also a few teams stuttering now so maybe the team that puts a run together will be there at the end.
Even though the top 4 are doing well, they are not running away with it. Hopefully thats our bad run out the way, we have some big games coming up thats normally when the real AVFC turn up.
Nothing to get excited about but a win is a win and at last a welcome Home win.
