The reason I know that is because Ducks Delux covered "I Fought The Law" by the Crickets. A song I have many a cover of. The Clash, Social Distortion, The Almighty, Dead Kennedys, Ricky Warwick(acoustic version) are four off the top of my head. I once read a history of the tune as it was a very popular choice of cover. Then I read about Ducks Delux from there
Half a coconut, and a bonus point for mentioning the magnificent Ducks.

The album name comes from a line in Chuck Berry's masterful "Promised Land" when the po' boy from Norfolk Virginia lands in California.

Somewhere, someone will have a recording of The Undercovers walloping through it at The Globe, Broadstraik or Vale Hotel Alford (RIP).

Lot of ghost towns in Spain. Practically every coastal town I stop at has rows and rows of houses and apartments with the shutters up.

I know they don't like their winters here but still seems such a waste.

Are they just waiting for nicer weather or is it an economy thing I wonder.

Also menu del dia or the daily menus are great. Most restaurants will offer you 3 (usually) or sometimes 4 courses for a set price, between 8 and 13 euros.

Other day I had tuna salad, cod and asparagus stew, hake and chips, a pint of amstel and a 2 litre bottle of water for 12.50 euro. Why would anyone bother cooking?

Like most countries, the further off the beaten track you go, the better value you get, that aside and against the grain, Minorca(Mrs J has wanted to move......not for me though)has some affa expensive, albeit good tavernas up in the countryside......however follow the locals that are not as well heeled as the many ex pats that reside there and as per you are fine.......I’m spending time travelling in March/April to see what deals there are down in the mainland......Red TV will get another customer in time.......

Nah, we will not be moving there although I do have a few Spanish chums dotted about the island, as I do on the White Island( basically spent all my holidays there apart from euro trips with the dandies till it sadly got too commercialised), anyway, no offence taken, I’m only as old as my younger wife.

It's the same in Italy. I only know that because of Gomorrah. Folk go there to get shot. You'd think they'd learn.
