Agreed. You simply don't find many, if any, other owners or Chairmen making such rash, unsustainable statements. Nothing wrong with expressing a desire to achieve greater things, stating that the objectives include trying to improve affairs on and off the pitch and hoping that the future is going to be brighter. Never make promises that you can't guarantee to deliver - it is a simple adage that applies equally to football as it does to managing in any industry.
I don't believe for one minute that prospective supporters can only be attracted by promising them Championship football in 5 years, a new training facility and a future England manager being at the helm. That is all complete and utter tripe tbh.
