    Protests

According to a few people on one of the FB groups i'm on.

The club has complained to the police about tomorrow nights protests.

As long as they are peaceful, there shouldn't be any issue with police i'd of thought?

Has anyone seen the flyers with JD Sports on the Magpie group are handing out outside the ground? I think it's a great idea if everyone took one and held them up. Would be awful publicity for Ashley.

Mind, I fully expect stewards to be attempting to take them off folk once inside.

I thought it was DW sports on it ?

anyway as far as I can tell I think the only thing the police would be "interested " in would be that stupid half baked idea of a pitch invasion ??? or maybe the other half baked idea of hoying chocolate coins on the pitch ???

i'm sorry I'm all for protesting and don't like to criticise anyone trying to do something but there has to be a line drawn somewhere -- surely?

or am I wrong and we should be doing everything and anythng?

Pitch invasion, chocolate coins = banning order as even throwing stuff on the pitch is an offence. The atmosphere needs to be toxic tonight for the tv cameras.

    Newcastle 2-1 Man City

Some Newcastle fans are staging a 'sit-in' protest. Unfortunately for them, the fact that their team has just beaten the champions means that their entire numbers are about six blokes.

    They're still singing away though.

    BBC on tonight's sit in.
