    Miller Signs

The forward will remain with Bradford City until the end of the season.

We are delighted to confirm that 21-year-old George Miller has joined the Reds on a three-and-a-half-year contract from Middlesbrough Football Club, for an undisclosed fee.

The forward will continue with his loan at fellow Sky Bet League One side Bradford City until the end of the 2018/19 campaign, looking to help the Bantams to avoid relegation.

An energetic, lightning fast and young forward, Miller can operate comfortably both down the middle or on the wing of an attacking three. His pace has frightened defences in his early career, with plenty of game time under his belt at both League One and League Two level.

Having recently turned 21 in early January, Miller has amassed plenty of first team experience, with 41 starts and 18 goals across all competitions, with further appearances from the bench, adding to his game-time.

Upon signing his contract, George told barnsleyfc.co.uk he was ‘buzzing’ to join.

He said: “It’s an exciting move, I’m buzzing to get it done, it’s a move I am really pleased with. Bradford have been my priority this season, I’ve tried to give it everything there but when a club like Barnsley come in for you, it is really, really exciting. I’ll continue to give it 100% at Bradford like I have done and hopefully get even more game time, but I will of course be checking Barnsley results and watching matches when I can.

“Hopefully both teams can have the end to the season they want, I want to come back here as a Championship player, I’ve played against this team, there is some real quality and I know they are capable of getting promoted.”

Chief Executive Gauthier Ganaye was pleased to get another young, exciting player into the squad on a long-term contract.

He said: “We’re really pleased to sign another player who is full of potential on a long deal. It’s important for this club to have players that want to be here and want to progress. We’ve been watching and looking at George for a long time, so it’s pleasing to get it done, getting us involved in deadline day too!

“He will remain at Bradford City for a few months which will mean game time and experience of a battle, with them fighting to stay in the league. All of us will be keeping a close eye on his progress, before he returns to us in the summer to join the squad.”

Could be Woodrow or Moore’s replacement next season.
