    All eggs on McGeouch probably.

We need two and its not very obvious what to do

Your assumption “all eggs” in the McGeoch basket.
    Where is this coming from?
Is it purely based on last years pursuit of him & that DM has a habit of going back in for players he’s previously missed out on?

As an aside, and take this with however much salt tounlike, a lad on Twitter who’s an estate agent, said that Ash Taylor has an offer in for a house.
    Don’t shoot the messenger.

Shinnie is hustle, bustle & breaking things up.

McGeoch is a better footballing version of Ryan Jack.

My major concern is not his ability.
    It’s his terrible injury record.
Perhaps McGeouch alongside Ferguson (who I think is the ready made Shinnie replacement). I agree that he's a very good player, but also have concerns over his injury record. I'm assuming McGeouch is still in contract anyway - I can't see us buying him.

Surely we're going to punt Gleeson, rather than pay him to sit on the bench all next season as well... he must be on a fairly high wage you'd think - he came with good pedigree (sounds similar to this Coutts lad).

    Welcome back to Dom Ball
    Welcome back to Max Lowe
    Welcome back to Tommy Hoban

Where are you getting Pawlett from? That's never going to happen.

My point about him being our tooling up was spot on though. I like Ferguson for what it’s worth but we needed better players than we had previously but failed on that front. Blame McInnes and Milne.

Yes theory being our January-July pursuit of McGeouch last season.

    Other reasoning
I think we need two first pick centre mids
I think it would be very risky to have them both having never played in Scotland before (see Forrester and Gleeson for not fitting in)
I dont see any candidates within Scotland (other than Djoum and Mulumbu)

Read and heard a few folk saying the same thing. Has to be made up. As if we'd ever pay a fee for him to return.
