In that league there’s a heap of midweek games as they play 46 league games.
Add in the League Cup & there’s barely time for a couple of days back home.

1) we have far less midweek games up here compared to that league. They have 8 more league games to fit in.
2) geographically, we’re far smaller, so if we are away in a midweek, he can stay overnight & head up the road first thing in the morning.
Hardly practical getting from Derby to Aberdeen & back in that time.

Totally agree,the championship is probably the most demanding league in Britain regarding games played and at a quite high level,mcinnes' situation is totally different

Shinnie will have a season with Derby then a season or two in the north east or north west of England and be back at Aberdeen when either 30 or 31...if he stays clear of injury
