That said, first team names that are still contracted to be here next year: -

    Lewis
    Logan Devlin McKenna Considine
    Ferguson
    McGinn May McLennan
    Cosgrove

So we need to replace as a minimum a CM for Shinnie.
We do have Gleeson, but I'm not counting him yet as a first team player due to his fleeting usage.

Granted we need more depth and arguably some more quality, but I also seem to recall that there have been recent seasons where it appeared we were losing more first team players
McKenna will definitely go in the summer unless he gets seriously injured or suddenly loses form. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bid or two for Ferguson and maybe even Cosgrove if he scores say another 10 in the second half of the season. I'm also pretty sure we'll cut our losses with Gleeson, and Reynolds will be gone, along with GMS, Shinnie and potentially Wright unless the loan to Dundee goes well. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if we tried to get rid of Stevie May too. Ball will surely not be back for a third loan. Wilson and Hoban won't be back and Lowe will probably not be back unless Derby get promoted to the EPL. Add another year on to guys like Logan, Considine and McGinn who are already showing signs of beginning to fade. Then you have youngsters showing promise like McLennan, Campbell, Anderson, Ross - but it's quite possible none of them will really make it.

Not trying to paint a doom and gloom picture, but all of the scenarios above are at least 50/50 in likelihood.

    Massive rebuild on the cards

Potentially GMS gone(if not already), Shinnie gone, Wilson gone, Stewart gone, Lowe gone, Hoban gone, Ball gone, and unfortunately I would say McKenna.

Borrows plug holes but when your actual players contracts run out and add to the number of departures it throws up a f@cking huge issue

The summer will huge for McInnes and arguably his biggest transfer window ever but at least he was planning for it last july. At least he has a head start

But I suppose they could just run another DNA campaign
Clicked on the first page accidentally, but to pick up in Pacman’s post, what are everyone’s thoughts on the window so far?
I’m pretty pleased. Think we could do with one more CM then we’ll be good to go.

I’d let May leave, we have enough options up front. I’d also put Anderson out on loan, 6 months at a time, but with Cosgrove, Wilson, Main and McGinn, there’s enough choices up top.

I’d keep Wright this season. His pace and trickery could be useful, but he has to be aware that this is his last chance.
If he does not do enough before Christmas to warrant an extension, then so be it.
He showed well enough against Peterhead, but he needs to be able to do it against better opposition.

Frank Ross probably needs to go on loan for 6 months as well. He’ll need gametime, but someone I had high hopes for before his injury.

Same with Ethan Ross, put him out for 6 months and then reassess. With McGinn, McLennan, Hedges, Wilson and Gallagher, we have options wide.

All other areas we appear to have cover for.

1 more CM, hopefully creative, don’t care if it’s a year loan or permanent, but someone of quality would be great.

Think it's been reasonable. I would have liked liked mcGeoch especially as Deek has said a few times he would like to play Ferguson further forward. I've given up on May unfortunately . Wilson hopefully will bring the goals that I thought May would bring I can't see big Sam having the same kind of season and goals will need to come from more than him.Wright will need to improve big time . Too easily bullied out of a game. I'm more optimistic for McLennan than him im afraid.

Maybe it’s a good thing the boy McGeough has declined us if McInnes wants to play Ferguson further forward as I don’t think that’s his best position.

It was obvious last season we lacked creativity and Ferguson as good as he is in midfield isn’t the answer to being the creative player.

I would like to see us starting to look down the leagues in Scotland for talent, there is plenty there.

One player I thought was worth a look was Lyndon Dykes of QOS who went to Livingston in the window but was loaned back.

Typical of the talent that we seem to have no interest in that can clearly play at a higher level, and will be interesting to see how he gets on against us. I suspect because he wasn't sitting in the stands for Timmy he wasn't worth having a look at.

Instead of the usual borrow nonsense a combination of established players and ones for the future should be our policy with a maximum of one loanee at any given time.

It has been reported that New York City no longer want to sign wingers and that that includes GMS. If there’s any truth in this then it may be that we end up with him as no-one else wants to sign him. Not an ideal scenario.

If his attitude is good then he’s a good player to have.
    If it isn’t, he’s a passenger.

To think that our management and recruitment staff work so fkn hard behind the scenes TWO windows in advance its amazing they manage to cope and come up with such superb bits of business.
So what do you think will happen in the up and coming summer transfer window?

    I'll start us off.
All the loaned or borrowed players that we have will return to their parent clubs
All Aberdeen's players that have been put out on loan or borrowed to other clubs will return to Pittodrie.

And that will probably be that because as a football club we appear to have absolutely fk all ambition
