St Johnstone will value Kerr at about £1m or thereabouts.
Even if it was £750k, we couldn’t pay that.
And another right sided centre half?
To go alongside Taylor, Vyner & Devlin (remember him?)

May is worth just removing from the wage bill.

I’m a bit surprised McInnes seems to be ruling out another player coming in.

It’s a big if, but if May, Gleeson & Wright left, that’s about £7k per week removed from the wage bill, and potentially a few for awrigbt too?

Surely we’d have room for a signing?
Not being unrealistic at all. If St.Johnstone are desperate for Stevie May I would be demanding one of the 2 named players as a straight swap. We don’t need Stevie May finding his form at St.Johnstone and scoring goals after we just decided our manager couldn’t use him properly after paying a decent fee for him. We need as big a squad as possible...we never seem to learn from previous mistakes.

I heard from a Tim at work today they are away to release Hayes.

If that’s true McInnes will be desperate to bring him back.

Probably total garbage, but @sitonfence of johnjamessite.com infamy, tweeting that McKenna and Cosgrove signing for Celtic, with Hendry going to Aberdeen.

I'd take Hayes back but only if it's on the cheap. Not leverage as part of some other deal. He's good and would love to see him back but lets face it he'd play 30 minutes then go off injured.

As much as he’d past his best, he’s still better than McLennan & Wright.
If he is available on a free (surely they’d want a fee?) then I’m sure McInnes would be thinking about it.

He is probably still a better option than Hedges and Wilson never mind Wright and McLennan.

The rumour is they are releasing him to make room for new signings.

If we had to pay money for him then no chance but if he is a free agent McInnes will definitely try to sign him.

Aye, agree with all of that.
Very injury prone now too, so that’s another box ticked

Would love him back at the club. My favourite player of the last ten years.

    32 & injury prone.
He’ll fit right in - he can keep Devlin the invisible man company.
Why is no-one asking what is wrong with Devlin?
Basically been injured &/or not fit for 10 months now... having arrived with a serious injury.
