Yep, rather amazed to see this term used in this century to be honest. I really don't think it was actually intended as a racial slur though.

Exactly, pie. I’m 70 and “coloured” is a lot more polite than terms used when I was a kid. I repeat, it was a description, not a racial slur.

Don't mean to imply anything, just that saying he was 'coloured' sounded a tad racist and I am certainly not saying you are, just the way it came over to me when I read it. Forget I said anything.

I've got another negative, being charged £4 for two small glasses of Coke in the Sports Bar! Only when I looked back to see the barman (6`and coloured) smirking and whispering to another barman did I realise it, £4!! I should have confronted him then, I know, but I've emailed the club so I'll wait and see.
