    Respect Joe Ledley

Not been mentioned on here yet but wanted to say what a good guy Mr Ledley is...

He could have stayed and picked up garunteed cash but agreed to leave cancelling his contract so that he could move and save us some money...

Doesn’t happen to often in this day and age but respect where it’s due....!

Has he just torn it up so he is free to find a new club or was there a payoff involved?

My thoughts exactly. Don’t know much about such matters but I’d suspect ‘contract cancelled’ actually means a mutually acceptable termination involving partial payment. Considering he’s been paid a fortune for doing ****** all most of the time at Derby my ‘respect’ is limited. See he’s already looking for another club.

I don't waste respect on anyone getting paid millions for kicking a bag of wind around for 90 minutes a week, or sometimes 180, poor loves. Still less for anyone not even doing that

In fairness, GP, he did well for us then he got injured, had an op to put it right and was left out in the cold thereafter. We can't blame him for a) the injury, in fact he played on with the injury and that might have made it worse b) recovery from the op taking quite a while and c) not fitting FL's plans

Did he resign? If not, I'm sure he has a few perks to tie him over.

I’m with Parky. He started well for about a dozen games and has since fallen away. Made thirty appearances for us in seven**** months, many for only part of a match. Looked a million miles off the pace early this season and hasn’t featured since. Says he’s not the type to ‘sit and watch’. Could have fooled me...sorry but he’s up there with Claude as an all time bad buy imo.

Huge difference in the fee though, 50p head £3M and Ledley on a free..............

True but I bet those thirty (partial) appearances have cost us a ‘pretty penny’ for very little return.
