Am I correct in saying Butcher misses the next 2 league games and not the next round of the cup?
I thought he was solid and provide a great pass for the second goal.

Don’t know. I thought McGregor got a two game ban by compliance last week. But he was playing yesterday.
Anyone know how the red cards/competitions/bans work? Would far rather Butcher missed cup games than league games.
As it was a straight red he definitely missed the next match we play, so QotS. Has it been confirmed he'll get a 2 match ban?
We'll find our here when this gets updated next week.

And my point is that if we could play for more than 45 minutes we would be winning easily and then players wouldn't have to feel pressured into making rash tackles and getting sent off. That game should have been done and dusted early in the second half but they switched off again and I'm asking why?
I thought if it was violent conduct you missed the next match, if its not violent conduct then its the next match in the competition. Maybe the rules have changed, because that was a few years ago
Probably for different reasons. First, and most obvious, loads of the team are just here. If we can continue to win matches while the team gel then brilliant. In both games your are on about the dip coincided with Butcher going off. Make of that what you will...
St Mirren came back out with their ears ringing no doubt, two halftime subs tells you that much. We are never going to control the whole game without the opposition having a spell of pressure themselves. The red card meant we had to weather the storm a bit longer. Try to remember that we were playing a cup tie away from home against a team from the league above, with a team we put together just over a week ago and just be happy we are through.
