You can only sell them if someone comes in to buy them though

I, for one, have seen the difference regarding loans - not just for their own sake to improve someone else’s player but with a view of a permanent transfer. Longer contracts bring stability! I’ve no problem with players who don’t want to sign a contract being sold (provided we replace them).
Also good to hear that the club was being well run (unlike others they considered)

Even watching the NFL is more exciting than listening to the shipping forecast Roma.

I agree with them that the club should be run within its means and without debt if possible. We’ve got a great head coach and some exciting players with a proper plan in place so things are looking decent imo

I think most of us agree that we have a good coach & exciting players.
What bothers us is the fact that by adding one or two players we could have improved our chance of promotion.
Instead we are weaker, and sold 2 players to our rivals.
Compare our 'window' with Luton & Sunderland.
Besides Moncur, Luton added Cummings, Baptiste & Connolly. All with Premier league/Championship quality.
Sunderland spent £4m on Grigg and added Leadbitter from Middlesbro' & Morgan from Celtic.
We brought in an unknown winger from Yeovil (who may be decent) and lost 3 x 1st team squad members.
Our number 1 target can't play for us this season. Shouldn't our number 1 target have been able to help our promotion push?
There was that much panic about losing players that everyone is delighted to hang onto them and forgot that we haven't strengthened.
If we do go up, will we be loaning out our number 1 target next season because he probably won't be up to starting in the Championship.
