Its not many is it. Bobby hope was with us a while. Times really have changed.

Bobby was with us from 1959 to 1972, still the best midfielder i have seen at our place. Bill Shankly raved about him and he rarely did that unless they played for Liverpool.

Bryan Robson was with us from 1970- 1981.

The best goal i saw Bobby Hope score was from an indirect free kick inside the Ipswich penalty area. The whole Ipswich side lined up on the goal line with the keeper in front of them. Tony Brown tapped it to Hope who chipped the ball between the straining heads and the crossbar. Pure class.

Bobby Hope, one of my alltime favourite Baggies player, good to see him looking so well, last I heard he was not well following a stroke

Not many of our ex academy players have gone on to having a good career in football. (I'm talking in the modern age) We've given very few a chance ourselves. Easier to splash the cash on an established player I guess.
Hopefully that is changing.

Bobby Hope, true football class, I too, think he was the best midfielder we have had in my time of watching The Albion (since 1964). The best passer of a football that I have ever seen.
