    R.I.P. Gordon Banks.

    Banksy passed today, I saw him at the Turf in about 1963 when he was still at Leicester City, he saved the Foxes from an absolute thrashing and we still won 5-2.

    Gordon Was A Legend,...And Always a Gentleman,..Here after he struck up a Friendship with none other Than PELE !!

    Both Gordon , and Pele ,..I will always remember Those two Were True Ambassadors For Football.

    Only ever saw him play for England. To think Shankly was interested in him once shows how highly rated he was at the time. Bobby Moore maintained he should have caught Pele’s header in 1970 instead of palming it around the post !!! Not many of the ‘66 team left now. Makes me feel older than what I actually am !
