Agree Johnny but we should not have to look at other results. Even those who are pro Big Dave must be honest - last night was no one off. Look at Bolton and Boro! Stoke we scraped it! Same issues every game so makes you think what's going on. Lose to Vile - then what?

The home form is very worrying now and 7 wins in 16 and 1 win in over 2 months is relegation form.

Every time we win away it's negated by a insipid home performance.

I think we are missing Harvey Barnes and MP very badly.

It's just our luck that we got excited when it looked like Abrahams had left the vile, but instead we lost our loan star.

What is absolutely tragic is that after 8 years in the prem (and in total 11) we put out a team last night where half the team was made up of loans, and one of them JM is absolutely dire so far.

Tonight Forest had a game plan - they were organized and they moved the ball around quickly. We had no game plan - we were shocking - we could not pass the ball and were tactically inept! Was Livermore and Murphy on the pitch as they were that bad!

Yes Moore is a nice guy, but do we not learn anything on the training ground - how many times have we conceded shocking goals from shocking back passes? Three - four? What has Moore done to address this?

When Forest could not be broken down - what has Moore done to address this? Not the first time this has happened!

Forest must feel robbed as it was a blatant dive by Gayle and they should have had a penalty when Gibbs nearly took the players shirt off!

Every match - it's the same mistakes - no plan B, and can't see us getting automatic whatsoever!

Please please put Murphy and Livermore on the subs bench against the Vile. Dawson and Tosser were not much better and don't see what Jay Rod brings to the party either. To think we could have got 10 million for Dawson...........

Shocking display, and don't keep blaming the players as basic mistakes should be squashed on the training pitch as well as tactically changing the game plan from A to B. Then again, Martin O'Neil is very clued up but Moore isn't!

Please don't tell me he's still learning FFS!

PS - Another two points wasted ( should have been three ) and how many get out of jail cards does he need!!! The only positive was Harper who yet again, was man of the match in my eyes and he's 18!!!
Disagree with you about Moore. But different opinions are why we're all on here.

I don't think you can blame tactics for the two goals we conceded last night. You could blame our philosophy for the first goal, but isn't that the style of play we've been crying out for years for? Don't we want to play the right way, with the ball on the deck? I'd rather watch this football now than some of the crap we've been watching in the prem in recent years. Their 2nd goal just came from a long throw in.

We looked flat last night and we just don't look right playing at home. Probably due to a combination of finding it hard to break teams down and giving away cheap goals.

But in regards to Moore, is there a manager out there off the top of your head who is available who you would prefer? Remember, many wanted Dean Smith and Villa aren't pulling any trees up.

Its not great giving away soft goals like we've been doing, but lets look at the bigger picture, we're still in with a decent shout of automatic promotion. We're still trying to transition our style of play. We have a good side. We have a manager who the majority of fans like (I think). We have some cracking young players about to break through. Its not all rosy, but I think we're heading the right way...

Or maybe I'm just an overly optimistic person.

Without Hegazi at the back we aint good enough to play out from the back all the time during a game. Yesterday's first goal for us came about from a good old fashioned boot down field from Johnston. We hammered Leeds playing a more direct game. You have to mix it up a bit during a game. Get in front then take the sting out the game with keeping possession.

Good post 123 and yes you are optimistic! How many goals have been conceded through pathetic passes from the back - four? So should this not be ironed out on the training ground? "We looked flat last night" - we were pathetic and equally as pathetic against Bolton, further poor defending against Boro, and we scraped it against Stoke! When have we been like, lets say Norwich - composed, play the ball around well, and dominant ( consistently )?

Dean Smith sadly, will get it right at Vile, and yes you are right - we have a good side, and in my opinion better than Leeds or Norwich, but these two teams have tactically better clued up managers.

I agree we have cracking youngsters as Harper was fantastic last night and it was a pity Field was discarded for that waste of space - Livermore. What does he provide? He can't even pass the ball from A to B. I also think Johansen looks goods but Murphy looks garbage - he can't even pass the ball!

I would say everyone likes Darren Moore but sadly "like" does not come into it in a results driven business. Lose to the Vile on Saturday, and many questions will start to be asked as they should.

Everybody wants Darren Moore to be successful as we all love West Brom. On a more ruthless note - if we are adrift of automatic after the Leeds game, I would rather we do something, as opposed to being typically Albion, and acting too late! We have to go up.

I would certainly start Barry on Saturday and hope Hegazi is fit. As for Livermore and Murphy, I would bench both of them.

PS - can't face a defeat against Vile and worse - more excuses and comments like - still learning - we go again next game! Games are running out...........

    AGREE AL .
Nice guy & all that Big Dave but not got what it takes to be a good manager in MY opinion , we will probably lose to Villa , Then what ? If the teams above us win we will be further adrift simples , fans will get angry the attendances will fall away , players will want to leave " Rats leaving a sinking ship springs to mind " that of course will be for next season , it will be just a gradual downwards spiral , ive heard & read all the posts the fors & againsts & everyone is entitled to their opinions, this is JUST MINE ,

Yeah, get rid now whilst we are still in the hunt and get the fans choice of Dean Smith in. He is working wonders at the Villa and we have a better squad of players, promotion is guaranteed. We will see this weekend when the Villa thrash us with a squad that is well below the standard of ours. All we have is an inept manager. Not a clue Big Dave.

    Darren out, Darren out.

We are doing reasonably well despite Darren Moore not because of him.
Pity we had that good run under him last season. If we hadn't I doubt he would have got the job.

Surely this was the man we should have tried our utmost to sign along with his buddy after getting rid of Pulis. I feel sure we would be on our way back now instead of talking doom and gloom.

You have hit the nail on the head Chris. I am convinced that with a more astute manager, we would be away and gone by now especially with the squad of players we have at our disposal. I just hope that we can overcome our manager's greeness to keep us in the hunt.
