I like Gayle but he's not really cut it in the prem for us or Palace.

Maybe you'll be the club he will but I personally don't think he will, he seems to have a mental block about hte prem.

Just got his first goal for baggies.

To give them 2-1 lead over QPR.

That was very fortuitous and a great away win for them.

Cheers lads! I can taste the beer in the Strawberry if we beat Sheff Utd on Saturday then Leeds away a week Friday. Two huge games and then our run in is decent. Gayle back now for us too!

    Missed that.

Even better, he plays well then he'll come back with confidence again. Or we'll have a reasonable chance of recouping money.

However, i still think Rafa (if here) will want to keep him.

In my opinion Gayle is a Prem quality striker just one who seems to not get the chance. If Rafa had the confidence in him and give him a solid run of games like Rondon I really don't think they would be much difference in goal return. Always liked him just don't think he's had a fair crack in the prem. When we signed him wasn't he Palaces top scorer that season and he'd only started a handful of games? Id certainly like to keep him and actually have a decent option on the bench rather than Joselu and Muto.

You would surely pick him ahead of both Joselu and Muto if he was in the same squad. He could hardly be less productive than those two.

Go through with Rondon's sale and bring Gayle back to play alongside him with Perez just behind in support.

I like Gayle and was convinced he'd be fine for us.

However, my opinion has shifted a fair bit - i don't know what it is but in the prem his mentality changes, it's like he doesn't believe he should be there. Chances he'd of put away in the championship he doesn't. His instinct seems to desert him.
