Believe me mista, I can be an unforgiving sod and I’m no ‘snowflake’.
The online petition is just populism in action for me. It’s just a knee jerk reaction from those who can’t or don’t want to think through the consequences.
My position is simple...I condemn both her actions and the organisation she joined but although I doubt anyone on here did something as foolish or objectionable at the age of fif**** I suspect there are many, including me, who wouldn’t want to be judged forever on their misguided ****age actions.
More importantly perhaps...we as a country go out of our way to develope relationships with other countries where villains, terrorists, thiefs and murderers are hunted down and returned to the UK to face trial. We can’t, imo, pick and choose just because it is currently popular to do so.
This ****age girl has behaved abominably in my opinion. I’m not being forgiving, I recognise that she needs to face the consequences but we as a country run the risk of becoming ever more isolated and alienated if we don’t accept our international responsibilities.

I think I shoplifted a packet of Twiglets from a Spar shop in Cirencester.

Simple answer, have a word with Mossad. Problem shortly solved.

RA I apologise i did go a bit ott I did some stupid things as a ****ager I understand your point there She will come home when its all calmed down As Swales says we have to abide by international law and not make her stateless But she is very lucky she can come home and stand trial the people she supports have made sure that thousands will never get that choice If you knowingly live with and support their actions that makes you one of them in my eyes

This part of we, ie me, doesn’t acknowledge that at all as far as the most urgent threat we currently have. Even most of our mainstream media now reluctantly accept that the issue is one of ‘way of life’.

No apology necessary, mista. It’s an emotional subject...but not one that should be oversimplified imo.

Not entirely clear what you’re suggesting AF.
