To be honest, I think he is one of the most genuine managers we've had in a long while.

He's now built his team, and we're doing well (for now). He was a bit unlucky with the results before the window and was working with players who were a bag of ****e.

He has tried and he cares, the way he talks about getting Doyle shows how much he wants us to stay up.

Whatever the result on Saturday, fair do's to him. We will at least make a game of it with his setup.

Good luck Neal, Good luck Notts, COYP!!!

Yeah, I thought it was a great interview. Loved his attitude to the derby game. Didn't try to play it down, but seemed to approach it in a matter-of-fact kind of way - we'll go out and there and give it our best, and whatever the result we'll move on to the next one.

Loved the way he called out Flitcroft too, but in a pally kind of way. Honest and fair, but not a dick.

Can't help but like the man... we could of beaten Lincoln and then turned in a brilliant performance against Florist Green... we are in decent shape at the moment... Mansfailed won't like coming to the lane tomorrow and let's hope we give them a damn good game... it's set up to be a cracker.

How on earth did we land him from Coventry? Was it all down to the wages Notts could offer? Surely a division higher with a club close to the playoffs was a bigger draw?

Because we offered him a deal until the end of next season. At his age that's something too good to turn down, if he was to get a serious injury that would be his career over. So the security of a long term deal to older players is invaluable.
