Yes we did . I remember Carlisle wearing red shirts when we defeated them in the 'semi' final. Stranraer were beaten in the final.

For only 35 miles apart , Queens and Carlisle very rarely play each other. I always thought that we would give each other a stiff workout in an annual pre season but it never really happens bar one closed door game about 3 years back. Far more beneficial to us than playing the likes of Dalbeattie ( no disrespect to Star)

We did play Carlisle twice in pre season around ten years ago ....... we were played off the park in one game and in the other Carlisle started the second half with a completely different team to the first half. We have never played Carlisle away as I believe the powers that be think it could cause a riot. ....... ok for them to play Newcastle with punch ups all over the shop though.....
