Sounds great. Lovely part of the world. Keep trying to get my cousins (season ticket holders) to come out for a holiday but they'd rather do the New york/spain/Portugal thing. Can never understand it.

Get's cold in Curry's Post, misty mornings and winter chilly. Cape Town hot and humid, climbed Table Mountain a couple of times...stretches the body, even stayed on the top for a couple of nights in the "overseers cottages". Just love the vastness of SA. The only downside is the security measures but if you're aware your ok.

Your cousins missing a trick. What's not to like especially if your there to guide them.

Agree on security measures. But if you know where to go and where not to go you're alright. Always gets sensationalised on the news. Been here 33 years worked all over the world and will always call this place home. Off to Sun City (Pilansburg) next week. You get a chance to go up there??

No, furthest I have been up North is Joburg and Pretoria. Tend to go South down to Fynbos and east coast or wild coast, hiking along the beaches. The East coast interestingly enough, similar to the NE coast re the rock formations etc.

Still I have time to visit more of SA. One of my best trips was to Rorke's Drift. Spent two nights there visiting Buffalo river, the missionary and of course Isandhlwana. Fantastic experience.

    Some class sounding places lads.

Done a war graves thing a while back, Ypres, Dixsmuide etc. Loved it.

Went to the Dordogne and hired a villa last year, did Lescaux and Sarlat etc. Wine and food exquisite.

House improvment year this year but thinking if getting a weekend to Harry Potter studios in London later in the year and do the usual camping in te pssing rain with the kids in the Summer. I like it but not sure they do.

Charachter building though isn't it?. Lol.
