Yep you've got to say well done to BD. Stoke and Villa away were both banana skins - not that either are that great but they would have had their peckers up for us. Mind thought we were crap .....really crap......against Forest and should have lost.

Was worried when BD took off HRK at half time yesterday - does he have a knock? We missed him second half as we had no outlet up front. I know HRK gets lambasted on here.....but I thought he was having a decent game yesterday. Field still looks a bit lightweight to me - not particularly mobile and gets knocked off the ball to easily. Thought Murphy was improving....but not sure he gives us more than say Leko. We need MP back quick. Good job Harper has been a revelation - probably our best midfielder now.

But anyway hats off to Big Dave ......looks like he will survive until next weekend at least....

Murphy offers no more than Burke. Which is next to nothing.

Murphy has been at the club 2 weeks having hardly played for Newcastle, he has been thrown in due to our injuries, his movement got him into 2 really good positions yesterday that he couldn't finish, do we expect every player to be outstanding straight away or is he the new fall guy because HRK scored yesterday, Johnstone as done ok the last couple of games and Bartley is on the bench.

No, Murphy is not the new 'fall guy'. It's just that he's been less than impressive in his first few games for us. I hope that he does come good; we'll have to wait and see. As for HRK, I've always been supportive of him and despite what others think, he's a good back up to Gayle and Rodrigues.
