There’s a very good and superbly informative read on Blue Eyed Boys blog re :!Fred Pickering who recently passed away .
I just about caught him in his middle to later years.
It’s a real eye opener to read of Dougies opinion of Pick vs Shearer. Also very sad to hear of Pick’s ‘twilight years’ and the comparison to today’s ‘stars?’.
I was at the Blackpool party rout at Deepdale that night that’s mentioned re Pool up PNE down.
