Was a disgrace the way Shepherd sacked him, too.

If it was going to be done-and I'm not arguing either way here-it should have been done with grace during the Summer, possibly moving him 'upstair' but Shepherd should hang his head in shame.

    Posthumously, obviously.

As much as we all disagree Zipp with the sacking, the whingeing overpaid certain players at the time complaining to Shepard that Sir Bob should be sacked are the kunts to blame in my book.Been downhill ever since.

Always think this quote sums the man up perfectly. He got it from our point of view and had the same respect for us as we did for him.

"What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love".

Did he really say that? That is poetry. That is love. That is so true.

I think I need that as a tattoo.
