    Corbyn backs Second Referendum

...this could be a game changer.

Still some questions though. What options will be on the ballot paper?

And Parliament would have to vote to delay leaving on 29th March to allow the vote.

He's taken his time but he is now finally supporting the idea that the Lib Dems came up with almost three years ago!

Probably done in an attempt to keep his party together

I'm not sure that Corbyn supporting one of your policies is exactly a ringing endorsement of it 59, I'm sure most sane, sensible people might think just the opposite. Do you really want that clown on your side ?

We voted to LEAVE in 2016. If Corbyn backs a Second Referendum I will be chucking my Membership Card in the bin.

What bit of "democracy" do this lot in the Houses of Parliament not understand?

It's only democracy when the people vote for what the political class want BT, when they don't it's called populism and has to be derided and opposed. You may as well tear your card up, a re-alignment in our politics is bound to occur and it won't be on current party lines. The Tiggers are irrelevant, they don't offer anything different, their views are held by the vast majority of MPs, the fault line isn't over a 2nd referendum or anti-semitism, it's over the EU.

The country is split 50/50 over whether we should stay in the EU or leave. The vast majority of our MPs want us to stay in the EU and are doing everything in their power to ensure that we do. That imbalance is not sustainable, even in a flawed democracy like ours, there are 17 million voters being ignored by our Parliament, as I've mentioned before Sir Nigel has noticed, when it becomes apparent that we are still in the grip of the EU, things will really start to move. Watch this space.

Well, the number of people who would vote remain has been steadily increasing over the last 12 months.

The latest poll I saw was Remain 56% Leave 44%

The people are obviously changing their minds...

What is paramount is that we live in a democracy and a first past the post system is OUR system.I voted to remain but accepted the majority view that we are leaving.Long term I have no idea whether we will be better off as a Country or not by leaving but that was the vote of the people and it must be adhered to, or we will really be in the mire.
