    O/T Olympic Games: Paris organisers propose breakdancing

    What the hell is that

    http://bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/4731752

    Not sure why link isn’t working, he’s the gist of it;

    Breakdancing has been proposed for inclusion in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, organisers have announced.

    It is one of four sports that Paris organisers will propose to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), as well as surfing, climbing and skateboarding.

    Surfing, sport climbing and skateboarding will make their Olympic debuts at Tokyo 2020.

    Breakdancing was included in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018.

    The IOC will consider the proposal and must reach a decision by December 2020.

    How is that a sport?

    It's not a dance competition.

    Its the host nation that nominate 4 new sports. The Olympic Board role is to decide on whether to approve them.

    How about free-style channel crossing?

    Is the suggestion of breakdancing such a bad one?

    Is it less of a sport than sitting on a horse trotting around an arena?

    How can dancing be a sport though?

    It's a dance.

    Why not have Parkour instead if they want to be "down with the kids"?
