I’d be tempted to draft Rose into midfield alongside Doyle (if he’s fit), push O’Brien a little further up, put Toots at right back and drop Gomis to the bench. Stead and CMS back for Hemmings and Alessandra. I’d also recall Fitz, because at some point Schofield’s rawness is going to cost us a game.

Schofield's rawness was apparent in the Mansfield game and without the exeptional defending of Stubbs and Barclay could have cost us the the three points, as it was Mansfield didn't have a shot on goal, thanks to S & B (and others). I've only seen the video of the Newport disaster but the poor showing of those two defenders only exposed Schofield's inexperience. I've no doubt he will improve but Meadow Lane really didn't ought to be part of his learning curve.

I'd go with your line-up with Hemmings and Gomes as impact subs.

It's no good me trying to guess the scoreline, I'm hopeless at that BUT! Every time I've picked a Notts win we've lost drastically, sooo, I'll try this, 3-0 to Tranmere.
