If you drive down a major road (like the Dearne Valley Parkway or Sheffield Parkway) most of the plastic on the verges and festooned in trees is what’s blown off delivery trucks. Been nowhere near a household bin.

And out of a cab,....full of human liquid waste..

Not really following this. Read the article that Grist linked to but not got access to anything else. The article seems to be saying that rmbc are recycling plastics but this will lead to increased council tax.

I see from GF Annie that this doesnt include all plastics and that may be the case. But please set out

1. What exactly do you want the council to do in addition to what it has been doing?

2. Are you happy to pay the extra for any extra provision? Especially as your party has cut rmbc's budget by over 15 million quid. Isn't that a lot of money in addition to the previous 10 years of cuts?

Doesn't strike me as a socialist thing. Just that if you want a service for the environment (which like you I care about), we need to pay for it don't we? And if the money isn't coming from central government anymore, and further cuts are made to your allocated budget, then surely local tax players have to pay for it? If that's what we want? What exactly are you complaining about?

General waste is still going to be the main bin but they've made it tiny to "encourage recycling" and you have to take any extra to the tip, like people are going to do that, they're going to just dump it up a country lane.

If the bin isn’t big enough then you clearly ain’t recycling unless you use nappies then maybe understandable

As far as I know there isn't a party called Anybody But Labour that provides candidates for Rotherham local elections .

If you are against something then by definition you also have to be in favour of something else .

What happened in Rotherham was a catalogue of errors by many bodies .

The council have to take responsibility because they are the body that could and should have prevented what happened .

The point is the electorate of Rotherham have a say in how much they feel that another political party can prevent it happening again and on that issue they clearly say that Labour are the party that they trust to do that .

It's called democracy Mr Booth , many many times I don't care for it too much myself when it goes against my vote but we all have to accept it .
