    NEWcastle or newCASTLE?

Where do you put your emphasis when saying the name of the club?

The Danish commentators are pissing me off with their sh!t pronunciation of every British club name.

Geordies will say the latter. It’s the former for me.
Brazilian commentators heavily pronounce the ‘t’ in Newcastle which pi**es me off.

I think most Geordies don't pronounce the New part as the word new with emphasis on the ew as in neoo but rather like neew. But the castle part is pronounced normally as you would say Bamburgh Castle

Try pronouncing some of the Danish teams names. Some British commentators struggle with our name. Going for a sneaky 9-0 win for us today, As long as Joselu does not get on the pitch.
