Agree, cheating should be punished if not spotted by ref
Seems strange that Dwight Gayle suffered, quite correctly imo, a retrospective suspension following his dive against Forest but players scoring with their hands seems to be becoming more commonplace with no such punishment.
Think WBA benefited recently in this way against Villa, Millwall knocked Everton out of the Cup as a direct result of Cooper handling the ball into the net and West Ham beat Fulham last night with yet another hand ball ‘goal’.
Surely the punishment, for ‘successfully misleading’ the referee in this way should be exactly the same as that given to Gayle.

Surprised peacock-farrells kick to Duane Holmes head went unpunished as well
Just seems weird to me. The Maradona ‘goal’ was probably the most high profile one from decades ago and the authorities seem to have learned nothing. Imagine if City or Liverpool win the title with a ‘handled goal’ or a team gets promoted from the Championship by virtue of the ball being punched over the line.
RA agree about Gayle getting punishment but it still doesn't alter the result Forest were robbed of two points and WBA gained one that can't be right Rodriguez did the same for WBA yesterday scored with his hand then was so embarrassed he put his hands up to say what he had done Earlier in the season Roofe clearly handled the ball over the line against Forest and earned them a point As you say those decision could well decide whether a team to up or not
Agree completely about Forest being ‘robbed’ mista. My point is that there’s a real anomaly when players can be punished retrospectively for some forms of cheating (i.e. diving) but not apparently for the most blatant form of all...handling to score. They even get credited with the ‘goal’.
To show how long this has been an issue, here's 'one of our own' causing a two-week storm in a teacup about punishment for deliberate handball when doing just that for his previous team Man City. Fast forward to 48 seconds for the incident itself, and this was after him doing the same in a match against, I think, Crystal Palace a few weeks earlier
