"Steadting influence"? You need to play, and be appearing consistently (like Alioski who gets right totally berated time after time and STILL performs every match (offside or not)) AND contribute! Neither Douglas or that other refugee from the promised land, Harrison, do ànything of the sort and should be despatched forthwith back to wherever they came from, save us wages and unrealistic expectations.

He was always going to get less assists with us as he has been trying to cross for Roofe rather than the likes of Jota, Cavaleiro, Bonatini, Ruben Neves and all the other top quality players they had in attack, its a completely different ball game with us. Think with Bamford in the side he may notch a few more if he gets back in the team that is.
    Agree exactly

Ok, so go much have we wasted on the wages of the likes of Douglas, Harrison and Brown that could have been invested in a single player who might have actually contribute to the 1st team performance (because none of the above have!)?

Don't agree. Preferably the steadying influence is what we are after on the field, but on the training paddock and in the dressing room leading up to games will be also important. And I have no doubt in my mind that the management team will be using his experience last year to influence the rest of the team. Especially the younger guys. And I reckon this will happen regardless of anyone on here thinking he has underperformed or not!

Hmmmn Douglas was pretty good at the start of the season and injuries have held him back
    Harrison scored the other week
Brown is close to the first team so give the lad a chance

when they have been unfit others have stepped in and shown that at least a few of the youngsters are capable of stepping up

dont get the doom and gloom and aggressive tone - I was simply expressing an opinion

No doom and gloom, the rest of the squad are doing well, just wonder how much better if they weren't carrying passengers and we weren't holding out hope that Brown might actually play for the 1st team.

From a what little I've seen of him, don't think Brown has much to add...

That might be a little harsh. Douglas has had some good games just not quite lived up to the hype. I also think that Harrison's performances and contributions have steadily improved - unlike Sacko who was rubbish at the outset and remained the same forever.
