    Pompey v Barnsley Match Thread

Monumental game to say the least , nothing will be decided this afternoon with regard to both teams prospects of automatic promotion but it will certainly go along way in deciding the outcome , psychologically it's huge in my opinion .

If we can come away with our unbeaten run still in tact I'll be delighted .

Let's go there and do em, they're rock bottom confidence wise after their recent run and we're flying. If Stendel has instilled belief into our players that we are the best side in the division, then our lads should be thriving and ready to get going and prove it. Over 2000 fans behind em, loud atmosphere, let's seize the opportunity. Go straight at em, get that early goal and I believe well bring back the 3 points. That will see them out of the automatic reckoning imo.

    On the other hand......

    A point would be respectable

all I ask of them is not to lose. A draw down there would be a good result IMHO

It’s the team I expected - presumably Pompey will come at us so we could have space going forward. It depends if we turn up! Pompey have had a poor run of form so let’s hope they maintain that run.

I'll take that , Davies with the penalty save to secure the well earned point in the second half .

Nervous afternoon but 14 games now unbeaten .

    Reasonably happy tonight .
