The whole game was summed up in the last minute when we had a free kick inside our half. What did we do but pass it sideways and lost possession within two touches. What sort of mentality is this manager installing in this team.

What summed it up for me was in the dying minutes when Johnstone had the ball and was looking vainly to pass it short to somebody but was dithering about and the crowd were getting narked. Clearing it long and quickly was out of the question. So as there was nobody available close by he tried to chip it to another player slightly further forward only to direct it straight to a United player.

And just what is it with the ability or patent lack of it in being able to cross a ball? It was Murphy the other night and Holgate today. I just cannot understand this.
