    Thoughts from loftus road

Back from the game and I pity those fans who have to sit and replay in their minds the game back up the M1.

QPR are a very poor team who aplooked short on confidence. By the end we made them look good. We looked lethargic and half a yard of the pace in limb and mind. We constantly gave the ball away by loose passing or running into players. There was no real movement off the ball when we had it and poor pressing when we didn’t - Bamford and Roberts didn’t close down any where enough. As the game wore on we reverted to hoof ball from the worst days of the recent past,

of the starters on,y three players can look themselves in the mirror with any pride- Cooper, Janssen and Harrison. Harrison was our best player by a mile.

hernandez gave it away far too often typically in the same predictable way. Roberts tonight showed he is not great playing in the hole. Bamford was playing a different game to the rest of the team. He ran the wrong way and looked like he couldn’t be arsed to press.

Dallas was great when he came on and Douglas looked composed and assured too.

Alioski gets involved in far too much nonsense and on a different day could have been sent off.

if we play this way against the baggies we will get hammered. If this form continues forget auto and probably forget the playoffs.

out of a crowd of 14,000 we had at least 4,000 and the most of the players should hang their heads in shame that they couldn’t show the same enthusiasm and passion as the support.

on Friday Dallas and Douglas have to start. Would play Brown in the hole and Roberts up front. They missed Roofe’s guile and running so much- please let him be back soon.

not sure we have many options or if the club will play Clarke until they know what caused his troubles first time round.

be afraid be very afraid as what was on show tonight was not the much vaunted Bielsaball. not sure we had a single attempt on target against a very poor QPR. We had a few chances at the end but no cutting edge or composure to our finishing.

normally I find positives in defeat but that was like a return to the bereft days of the recent past.

Watched it via the red button on sky and it was a shocking performance..left me feeling gutted to be honest.

West Brom next..play like we did last night and we will get ripped a new arse.

Agreed Rev - maybe it was worse because I was expecting so much more but QPR are very poor and we made them look good.

even then we had chances to score no matter how bad we were but couldn’t take any chances.

As someone else mentioned elsewhere we need a Siaz replacement in the hole as Roberts doesn’t have the skills to do that and at times looked lost and frustrated. Not sure if you saw on sky but it was the lack of movement off the ball and lack of precision in what we did.

Harrison had energy, made runs and created some good openings second half.

maybe it’s one of those nights like when Man U got thumped 6 2 (or something like that) at Arsenal in the league cup years ago and Fergie said it was so shocking hit was just one of those nights. Problem is I am not sure it was.

maybe he should blood some more youngsters and tell them they have nothing to lose

We seem to keep having these "one of those games" , I also think if we'd take at least half of the golden chances we make, some which are more than half chances, we wouldn't be having these depressing conversations, as we'd be hammering teams like Norwich are.
