A while back we had a doctor on here who wasn't satisfied with simply not contributing to other poster's charity efforts, he also decided it was within his remit to ridicule them. Be careful because I believe it was the death of him.

Still 7 weeks to go? It’s taking long than strictly.

If you are able, would be great if you could somehow manage to give updates......and no I’m not heartless enough to want to hear suffering, it would be great to know one socialist has actually achieved something in life

Looks like my prediction might have come true if the non-show with regards the rendezvous with Brin/Sota is anything to go by!

Strictly indeed gm, it will be difficult for updates as the signal is either weak, or non existant, though I will try.....maybe I could put summat together when I get back.

*cheeky dig re socialists though fella, just a thought for you, socialists created the NHS you use, socialists created the education our kids use, socialists created the welfare state you will fall back on in times of hardship, please keep up gm, socialists are for SOCIAL requirements for the many, not the few...😉😂

Best of luck with the climb. Never been to Kilimanjaro but spent a lot of time a few years back working in DES. Can recommend The Governer's Sports Bar & Grill on Bint Matola Road if you get down there.

So folks, just got back and happy to report that myself and the majority of the group conquered the mountain.
That goes down as one of the most difficult things I've ever done, brutal is the word really, but I've come out unscathed with an experience I will never forget.
As a small group of four our total is nearing £8k raised, going into the main group of 26 which has a running total of £102k.
Thanks to everyone for donating, much appreciated, the money I believe is going towards a new Oncology dept in the hospital.

    Up the Kilimanjaro!
