    Norwich v Swans

After a resounding 1-4 home defeat in the corresponding fixture last November, what are the chances of getting anything from the game on Friday night. An early own goal by vdH set the pattern of the game and we were 3 goals down after 37 mins. James pulled one back with his first senior goal for the club before half time, but second half Norwich scored again to seal the rout.
Latest form guide is Swans, with 2 wins from the last 6 matches, and Norwich with 5 wins from the last 6 matches, which shows clearly we have a mountain to climb to get anything from this match.

Norwich are the surprise package in the Championship this season, and look almost certs to go up.
They have shown us the way to go with their young squad put together from loans, free transfers, and low cost buys.

We were so close to causing an upset lsat night. First half we dominated and had five shots on target as we looked like the top of the table side, not Norwich. James ran riot in the false number nine role in the absence of leading scorer McBurnie. Our high press unsettled Norwich and they didn’t have one shot on target first half.
It was inevitable that we’d flag a bit second half, no team can sustain a high press for 90mins.
Grimes gave Buendia too much room in the 53rd minute and he had time to volley home. This turned the match in Norwich’s favour and we just could not find a way through.
So then, one shot on target by Norwich throughout the 95 mins was enough to win the match.
Swans with five shots on target, all in the first half, should rightly feel aggrieved they didn’t get anything out of this match.

Swans will rueing those missed chances after dominating Norwich on their own patch. No one predicted this performance, especially with leading scorer McBurnie pulling out last minute feeling ill.
It was a shame they couldn’t find the net as this game will be remembered for the scoreline and not how the team performed.
Although there’ll be no play off place this season, if we can keep this team together (hedge fund owners permitting), and with a few quality additions, we can make a stronger challenge next season.
