    Easton & Robertson leave

Bit shocked by this. Can only image new owners have others in mind.

It's been reported in the courier they've been put on gardening leave. I did wonder though, we do have a hell of a lot of coaches for a club our size.

I seem to recall a bit of an uproar on the number of coaches the club had appointed, maybe it was part of the long term plan to offload a couple?

My take on what I've seen over the last year is that MM didn't have the funds to take the club forward himself and so found someone who did(MO), with the help of the company that Ashgar worked for. However, MM wanted to continue running the club day-to-day and retain some share of the club after the take-over. So he was given time to demonstrate his ability in the role, prior to the takeover being completed.

This involved him keeping CL, bringing in new players and staff, which ultimately failed. In December, MO decided he'd seen enough and informed MM that the takeover would go ahead, but his services wouldn't be required.

Could be completely wrong, but MM didn't sound like he wanted to be leaving when the takeover happened, rather that MO didn't want him. So now most of the staff (and players) brought in under MM are slowly being cleared out.

Worrying development, in my opinion. Cost cutting already, consequence of not reaching semis.

I can't see that being a viable representation of what happened with the take-over. Just took a while to sort our what I'd imagine was a fairly complicated deal.

What odds would you get on Lee McCulloch becoming Reserve manager?

Could be way off the mark, just seems strange to me that MM didn't indicate that he was happy to step aside and that it was the plan all along. Also, why bring in all the new staff if you know that you won't be there in 6 months? Why would MO sign off on bringing in staff he has no intention of retaining?

Seems like it might have been a 'suck it and see' move by MO and that he ultimately decided it wasn't to his liking.

Pure assumption on my part of course.

MM still had to run the club, the take-over may not have happened.
