Who knows? He seems to have changed his mind since his last statement.

Notts County owner Alan Hardy says a "substantial offer" has been made to buy his ailing fit-out firm Paragon Interiors.

The businessman, who also owns Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club, told the Press Association the firm had been sold for "diddly squat" but has now doubled down on those comments.

In an official statement to Nottinghamshire Live he said there has been interest in the firm and that the party involved has big plans for the company, which is currently in administration.

But he stopped short of saying a sale had been made.

He said: "Further to media reports earlier today (March 7), I am delighted to confirm that there has been significant interest and I understand a substantial offer made, to buy Paragon Interiors.

"Naturally, due to the nature of the situation I am not privy to any details with regards the valuation and cannot offer further speculation.
